As you probably know, I love a good cocktail. With this weekend being the 4th of July, I’ve found the best drink to cool down after all the pool and BBQ; the Cherry Vodka Coke Float. This drink is the perfect dessert or skip the ice cream and you just have a delicious cocktail.
Here’s what you need for your new summer favorite:
Cherry Vodka
Soda of your choice (Mine is Coke)
Grenadine
Vanilla Ice Cream
Cherries
Now this is a pretty quick and easy drink to throw together.
I enlisted the help of my sister, Erin, to assist me with the task of drinking these. Luckily, she was willing to do me this huge favor.
My biggest tip is to start with the actual drink and throw in your ice cream at the end. Otherwise, it gets all foamy too soon.
Get a good sized glass for this.
Pour in your soda, followed by the cherry vodka and grenadine.
I use cherry vodka instead of cherry coke because of preference. You could switch this up and do cherry soda with plain vodka. Whatever floats your boat.
Then you want to add in your ice cream because it will mix with the soda and get all crazy foamy and messy and delicious.
This is also kind of a messy cocktail. You’ve been warned.
You can top with a cherry, but if you’re me it will just sink to the bottom because it also wants to get to the booze.
And there you have an easy and delicious summer drink/dessert hybrid.
