Friday Five

friday-five

I’m feeling all the TGIF vibes this week. It’s been kind of a downer week because it’s officially Fall or whatever. I really just want it to be Spring and Summer all year round. Although sweater and jacket season does mean I can eat more Taco Bell now so there is that trade off. I’ve been so busy with work and trying to fit in the gym and spending time with Chuck this week I’ve had hardly any time to do anything else. I did however have time to go to Nordstrom dressed like a hobo. If you follow along on Snapchat, you saw that I really count on curbside pickup at Nordstrom for my online orders and they don’t always answer the phone. I was working from home on Tuesday and ran to pick up a top I had ordered. Since I see no one when I work at home (just how I like it), I was wearing a men’s button up and denim cutoffs oh and no bra. So luckily having to go into Nordstrom like that wasn’t super weird at all. I’m just kidding, it was on par with trying to get in the wrong car in the parking lot embarrassing.

I decided to put that nightmare behind me this week by eating all the desserts possible. I’ve been trying not to eat so many sweets, but when it’s so hot out you just some cookies n cream ice cream. It was also my boss’s birthday this week so we went out to Sarah’s Cake Shop in the valley to get the best cupcakes ever. If you live in West County/Chesterfield go to Sarah’s and get yourself some cupcakes right now. They have the best buttercream frosting ever with the exception of Magnolia Bakery because it’s my number 1 forever. Well and Ina hasn’t made me her buttercream but I assume it’s better than everyone else’s. I was kind of miffed that Sarah’s was already out of the cereal milk cupcakes for the day at noon, so I got my second favorite treat a slice of wedding cake. Yeah you can buy the best part of a wedding without actually having to go to a wedding. I almost always get a slice of wedding cake at Sarah’s because it’s delicious and like hitting snooze on my biological clock.

Chuck and I have big plans to finish the major clean out of our apartment and make room for some new goodies as part of our new decor. If you didn’t see this week, I put up the first part of my redecorating here. We’re also going to be doing a little online shopping because there are so many good sales going on this weekend. I rounded up the best 5 sales happening now just for you!

Tory Burch – 30% off everything with code FALL16. This is so major! I’m so glad I waited for this because I finally ordered the bag I’ve been dying for forever. Also this bag has been my staple for years and I love it and has been updated in this style.

Baublebar – 25% off site wide with code YESPLEASE. Obsessed with so many things at Baublebar right now. It’s a good time to try out a choker because they will be everywhere this Fall. I also love a good tassel earring or a statement pair like these starbursts you’ll wish you had at the holidays.

Old Navy – 30% off tops and pants. I just bought a bunch of tees from Old Navy for Fall and they are all super soft. I go through them pretty quickly, so now is a good time to stock up on these. It’s also a good time to grab a flannel shirt or two for Fall.

Ann Taylor – 50% off select Fall picks. A good chance to grab some new arrivals for half off. I’m loving this peplum top and this pink blazer for work.

Anthropologie – Extra 30% off sale items. I love Anthropologie, but honestly I have to buy things on sale there. I’m loving this adorable flower tee. I’ve also been looking for a good long vest for Fall and this one is a total steal. And who wouldn’t be motivated to wear workout clothes with these cute leggings?

I hope everyone has a good first weekend of Fall! Thanks for reading!

xo – Tracy
