Does anyone else feel kind of robbed on Fall weather this year? It feels like we went from 75 one day to 25 the next. I had a lot of cute jackets I wanted to wear, but had to jump straight to my Winter coat. It has made getting in the Christmas spirit a lot easier when it’s so cold out though. I’m still obsessed with wearing capes for everything right now too. I mean who doesn’t want to just walk around in a blanket outside of the house?

I picked up this plaid cape a few weeks ago, thanks to your help on Snapchat (username: tracycoble)! I’ve worn it quite a few times already to run errands and to hang out with friends. Capes are definitely the answer to freezing cold restaurants I’ve learned. It’s also been great as a travel outfit. I’ve always taken a blanket scarf or a big scarf with me on planes because they are so much less bulky than wearing a coat the whole flight. I love this cape because it comes with arm cutouts which makes it easier to move around and not have your cape fall off. It also surprisingly helps a lot when reaching for drinks or cheese when you’re out with friends.

My other Fall and Winter staple is my pair of moto boots. I picked these up last year from Kate Spade after looking for a similar pair. Sometimes you just have to invest to get exactly the pair that you want which is what I did with these. They have a really similar pair this year but in suede, here. I just love the look of moto boots. I love other casual booties, but always feel like I look dumb in anything with too much of a heel. I also prefer lower heels in general for casual wear just because I wear heels 5 days a week and like to give my feet a break. I don’t think you have to wear moto boots with only a leather jacket or plain tee. I wear mine with almost everything. Anytime I throw on jeans and a tee and it’s cold out, I’ll break out the moto boots.

Do you have any Fall staples that you can’t live without? Anyone else as obsessed with capes as I am?
