It feels like I spent every weekend of the Summer either traveling, running around doing errands, or meeting up with friends. It’s been forever since I got a full weekend of no real plans and uninterrupted Netflix time with Chuck. Don’t get me wrong, I always block off Sunday afternoons for laying on the couch regardless of how busy the weekend is. The past two weekends I’ve had nothing to do but hang out with Chuck and relax. We spent one weekend binge watching Stranger Things and going to the dog park. And last weekend we rode our bike to Starbucks and then to the park since the weather was so beautiful and then spent the rest re-watching Stranger Things and going to the dog park but mixed in with margaritas with the girls Saturday night. Has anyone else watched it yet? I’m dying to talk about it and no one I know has watched it. I mean all those kids on the show deserve all the awards. They may be the best actors in Hollywood and seem way more fun.

If you read last Friday’s Five then you know I’ve got lots of books I’ve read this Summer and lots more on my list. I loved The Nest and got really caught up in it. I think I read it in just a few days. While Chuck and I were at Old Navy this weekend, we stopped in Barnes & Noble next door. I picked up One True Loves, it’s by the same author who wrote Maybe In Another Life which I talked about last week. I started it and already love it. Also should note that both Old Navy and Barnes and Noble are dog friendly if you’re pooch is sweet and on a leash. Luckily for me there is an Old Navy and a B&N right behind my apartment that we can walk or bike to. So Chuck gets to come along more than he normally would. He’s great to have around when it comes to the fitting room second opinion. He’s very honest and usually loves everything. Also I definitely recommend checking out Old Navy‘s website today, everything is 35% off and a lot of their jeans are already marked down. I got a pair of skinny jeans for $20!

It may be Monday, but Chuck and I already have plans to ride our bike to the park and Starbucks. And we’ll force ourselves not to watch Stranger Things for the third time. What are some of your favorite things to do on a weekend with no plans?
